JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Geremia, an interior design studio specializing in high-end residential and commercial interior design is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. We are currently finishing several high visibility and exciting jobs including the 2016 Sunset Magazine Idea House and Autocamp, an Airstream and tent camping resort in Guerneville. The result of these projects and other press is we have reached critical mass and are expanding our team. Our bright and airy office is located just across the Bay from San Francisco in Emeryville, California.
A strong candidate for this position has three or more years of experience in project management, excellent communication skills and the ability to see the big picture while staying on top of the details. The ideal candidate is someone who also enjoys defining process and establishing procedures and protocol. We have much buckled down here, but are always looking to improve how we do things. Business and financial management experience is not required but is desirable.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Attending client meetings with Principal and Design Lead. Collaboratively establishing client needs and priorities.
Serving as primary client contact.
Preparing, distributing and managing proposals, contracts, budgets, and schedules.
Allocating design resources across projects.
Managing and supervising all project-related activities, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and on budget.
Ensuring proper and timely communication, documentation, and reporting by all relevant parties.
Reviewing and monitoring job and company profitability against goals.
Collaborating with Business Manager to improve office and project procedures.
To be considered you must have the following:
3+ years of project management experience.
Fluent knowledge of a project management application and Adobe InDesign.
Excellent, articulate communication skills.
A strong self-confident personality with a polished and friendly demeanor.
The desire to do what it takes to get the job done.
Interest in constantly improving systems, process and procedures.
Aptitude for driving things forward and an almost intuitive understanding of where everything within a project stands at any given moment.
Ability to effectively manage the day to day schedule of another person.
A car. We reimburse fully. This position will be on the road and at client meetings thirty to forty percent of the time.
