Responsibilities/Job Description:

The Project Manager - Operations Training & Development will be responsible for managing the development and sustainment of a workforce development process by creative use of learning theory and knowledge transfer techniques to enhance the company training philosophy to better align with the strategies, purpose and vision for the current and future workforce.
* Responsible for developing and applying a competency model to existing competency programs, including the Operator Qualification Program, Employee Qualification Program, EHS, and LMS, to identify training gaps and recommend and implement approved corrective measures that leverage existing programs and processes.
* Directing and managing all phases of the training process life cycle, including sustainment of the system.
* Managing the roles and responsibilities of all SET resources and contractors assigned to or supporting the operations training process.
* Developing and managing the budget for workforce development and training.
* Identifying and executing on enhancements and improvements associated with the operations training process and its development and sustainment;
* Working directly with internal subject matter experts, internal module leads, contractors, and consultants to ensure adherence to scope, schedules and budgets for all phases of the operations training process.
* Scheduling and leading meetings and other forms of communication to a broad range of audiences.
* Developing and executing work plan(s) and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
* Coordinating system integration with other business functions across the enterprise.
* Providing SET management updates on project status, financial information, feedback, direction, and decisions;
* Developing and executing work plan(s) and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
* Assisting in the negotiation of license agreements with training development and other required vendors

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

* A Bachelors' degree in Education, Business Management/Administration, Public Administration, or Psychology with an emphasis on learning theory, knowledge transfer, and adult learning.
* A minimum of six (6) years of experience in training development with project management experience

Desired Qualifications:

* Certificate from an accredited school or institute in organizational or adult learning training and development
* Strong project management and organizational skills
* Ability to apply learning theory to the company work environment and guide development of training practices to align with the company strategy, purpose, and vision.
* Ability to align education/learning techniques with company objectives to support workforce development efforts
* Understanding of change management and how that effects the work force acceptance of initiatives to promote an effective training and development program
* Demonstrated ability to work self-directed and deliver results on schedule.
* Demonstrated proficiency working with office computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
* Demonstrated excellent human relations, influencing, and listening skills to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize work in a timely manner.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems by using analytical skills to reach a logical conclusion.
