Job duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Assist the technical manager in managing multiple projects and activities.
Assist with data collections, project status and statistics.
Monitor project cost, schedule and quality requirements.
Develop processes and procedures for the above where they are lacking.
Assist in manufacturing process improvement.
Communicate and interact with shop floor personnel, customer management team, and other engineers involved in the process.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (green card) is required
B.S. in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or equivalent amount of work experience involving manufacturing engineering.
2+ years’ experience and working knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly, or fabrication processes.
Experience creating and updating technical documents, reports and standards.
Program management experience with large, complex projects
PM experience in an aerospace environment is highly desired.
Experience in a similar manufacturing field is helpful.
Must be strong interpersonal skills and the ability to gather, package, and present data in uderstandable and actionable formats.
Desired skills include:
Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of design for manufacturing concepts. Excellent oral, written communication and organizational skills.
Familiar with manufacturing processes: process qualification to design intent; Inspection-based review of Print Features against Manufacturing Routings; Quality Notification Resolution- Correcting Documentation/Gaging/Process Routings to address deficiencies
Experience with aerospace manufacturing including CNC programming, Lean/Six sigma concepts, Machine operations, Machine design, Tooling, casting, forging HT, etc.
Ability to be a self-starter with potential for technical leadership.
Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, as well as to managers and engineers in client business units.
Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel to customer sites.
Significant experience applying Lean manufacturing principles.
