Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager will interpret the scope of a new contract as defined by sales and management, coordinate and manage projects from concept through completion, develop and maintain a baseline schedule, adhere to an established budget and interact with the customer on a regular basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in assembling the quote for customer presentationCoordinate the contract review once awardedPrepare Microsoft project schedules to define project scope deliverablesBe able to prepare bills of material and routings within the Material Master and Routing TemplateBecome knowledgeable with the activities associated with Technical Services:1. Order Entry2. Electronic project folders3. Procedures and specifications4. Document Control5. Submittals and notifications6. Data Book compilationBecome knowledgeable with the activities associated with SCM:Material MastersMaterial RoutingsBills of MaterialProject System w/ ZPR Sales Order within SAP MRP softwareARENA software / Engineering integration with SAPMaterial costing processSOX GuidelinesMaterial Requirement Planning (MRP)Production OrdersMaterial MovementsPurchase Requisitions and Purchase OrdersResponsible for the handling of all commercial issuesArrange regular customer meetings to review schedules, issues and action itemsMonitor and manage project costs in respect to the established budget on a daily basisAnticipate problems and concerns relevant to project management and provide timely solutionsCoordinate drawings and document submittals, approvals, distribution, and revision controlMaintain a strong working relationship with the customer and the customers third party inspection companiesUpdate and maintain the monthly Sales Order Backlog Report Accountable for Progress Billing Report and customer communication regarding aged receivables Provide financial recap at project completion
QUALIFICATIONS:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS7-10 years experience associated with project management of manufactured and fabricated offshore drilling and production equipment4 year college degree preferredComputer literate with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, and ProjectKnowledge and experience in MRP/ERP systemsStrong planning and organizational skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical data to both technical & non-technical audiencesExperienced in machine shop / fabrication environmentMust be able to read and comprehend blueprintsTeam oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
