i. Proficient/expert in SharePoint 2013 or higher, especially in designing/developing workflows, connections, interfaces, views, and hybrid configurations.
ii. 3 years of experience with portfolio analysis, resource/capacity management, work intake automation and workflow , IT controls/governance, and dashboards/reports.
The Project Server Administrator is responsible for supporting the Information Technology (IT) Department in maintaining and growing the Microsoft (MS) Project Server 2013.
This includes providing analysis of the overall project portfolio including resource planning and monitoring of alignment, governance and process of projects. The candidate will focus on con guration, customization, integration and maintenance of the Microsoft Project Server tool solution.
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Project Management, this position provides general assistance to project managers and the project teams in establishing project structures, time reporting, coordinating weekly status reports, and quarterly metrics to the Senior Team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Administers MS Project Server for the organization. Performs back-end con guration of MS Project Server 2013. Manages time reporting for IT ensuring timely data entry, establishing correct project/task codes, ensuring appropriate project/task set-up for nancial reporting, etc. Establishes project reporting/tracking process that supports the Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Provides application-level support for the environment
Performs administration functions including but not limited to managing permissions, add/change/delete users, password set-up, changes and account maintenance. Gathers business requirements for system use and reporting. Provides end user training, support, basic troubleshooting and problem solving with MS Project Server and MS SharePoint project sites. Documents system and data ow diagrams; document written procedures to be followed by end users. Apply changes to the Enterprise Global template; manage Enterprise Resource Pool Reviews existing MS Project Server functionality and perform gap analysis to identify possible enhancements to existing system functionality. Develops, maintains, and run views, reports and dashboards to support Project and Portfolio Management Monitors MS Project Server Application Logs for error conditions; partner with appropriate stakeholders to resolve errors. Develops custom solutions utilizing current departmental programming techniques and standards based on business and technical requirements; code and debug program; coordinate testing, data conversion and implementation. Con gures MS SharePoint project sites and troubleshoot issues associated with the project sites. Develops MS Project Server integration capability to other applications. Performs con guration and database clean-up activities Interfaces with vendors to resolve technical platform issues Implements system upgrades as required.
5+ years implementing technology based business solutions or equivalent progression of related IT implementation roles. 3+ years of MS Project Server 2010 and 2013 hands-on implementation experience. Pro cient with MS Project Server 2013, MS Project Professional 2013, and MS SharePoint 2013. Knowledge and experience of Project Web Applications (PWA). Experience administering and troubleshooting in MS Project Server 2013 environment, experience in the use, administration and con guration of MS SharePoint 2013, especially with regard to MS Project Server integration
The candidate must have hands-on experience developing and deploying enterprise project management solutions.
A demonstrated understanding of project management concepts and emerging technologies Identify and recommend best practices related to industry technical trends supporting Project Server. Be a quick learner and adopter, and be willing to challenge oneself. Needs to be a team player but also work independently. Strong logical and analytical approach to problem solving. Must have proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment. Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Customer Service Orientated Experienced in the use of MS Of ce (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Visio.
EDUCATION Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other degree in a technical eld.
