Responsibilities:The Consultant of Promotions is responsible for aggregating data and producing forecasts for all online, in-store, insert, and seasonal promotions (EBW). He/she will work cross functional with merchandise teams to evaluate requested promotions and assist in determining sales performance outcomes of multiple scenarios and accurately forecasting needed inventory. This position will support the Lead Promotions Consultant in reviewing forecasts process and providing improvements to forecast accuracy. The Consultant of Promotions will attend insert and EBW meetings with merchants and various teams to provide regular forecast and promotional reporting to minimize inventory risks and help identify sales opportunities. Improve forecast accuracy on promotions and EBW products by supporting the Lead Promotions Consultant by doing the following:
Extract historical data from various systems to create and analyze promotional forecasts Assist the Lead Promotions Consultant in promotions analysis and improving forecasting practices. Participate in cross functional quarterly EBW meetings and weekly insert meetings with merchants to understand category objectives and support cross functional teams with forecasting needs Support the Lead Promotions Consultant in establishing a new process between merchandising promotion team, inventory management, and merchants to take input from newly created supply chain promotion team Provide relevant data and standard reporting used to forecast information that will help the Forecast Managers/Analysts understand and act upon sales opportunities and category objectives Serve as the primary support/back-up for the Lead Promotions Consultant and assist with cross functional inquiries related to forecasting promotions Qualifications:- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years experience in related field Other Information:- Area of study in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Accounting, Applied Mathematics, Management Information Systems or similar
- Experience in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Forecasting, Analytics
