Seattle Property Management company is looking to add a bright, critical thinking Property Accountant who is looking to be a part of a collaborative, people-centered culture. If you have a background in finance, accounting or investment and portfolio management, and have at least 2 years of experience working for a construction, real estate or property management firm doing new construction job costing we are very interested in speaking with you!

This position will work closely with asset management for property and tenant specific matters as well as be responsible from month end close on commercial, office and residential properties as assigned by controller.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for making daily cash deposits and applying cash receipts to the respective tenant accounts. This position is also responsible for database maintenance, ensuring that new tenants and amended leases are appropriately entered into the accounting system.

Additional responsibilities include...

Deposit checks received on-site
Apply cash receipts to the tenant ledger to relieve outstanding AR balance
Follow up with tenant for late payment or unapplied ledger balances
Periodically review AR Aging report and record any necessary clean up adjustments
Record tenant impound activity
Complete assigned month end reconciliations
Process monthly prepayments and concessions
Review monthly service fees and uploads related JE
Review percentage rents and creates related charges
Review sales tax reports and creates journal entry to record sales tax
Review CPI billing report on a monthly basis and processes CPI billing
Update accounting software for new or amended leases, including property and tenant information
Prepare CAM reconciliations

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor?s degree preferred
2+ years property accounting experience
Ability to research and resolve issues and propose solutions
Self-motivated and able to self-prioritize with minimal supervision
Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel (Pivot table, V-Lookup) a plus but not required.
