RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Regional coverage: Saturday and Sunday.
Provides in-home mental health and crisis intervention services to individuals who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis and are unable to secure traditional mental health services in the community.
Provides direct psychosocial services to mentally ill adults and/or children in the community who are experiencing psychosocial difficulties. Provides linkage, coordination with, referral to and follow up with appropriate ongoing service providers. Provides information and consultation to other community agencies and other disciplines, including other services of the Agency. Assists in the overall functioning of the Program. Works under general supervision.
Licensure: Valid drivers NY State license may be required, as determined by operational/regional needs. Current registration to practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State required.
Education: Masters degree in Social Work required.
Experience: Minimum of one year as a social service provider with clients in a mental health setting required. Bilingual skills may be required, as determined by operational needs.
