Psychiatrists

We are a hospital employed group of four board certified psychiatrists and one board certified, psychiatry specialized DNP, looking to fill two physician vacancies and are also accepting moonlighters. We practice at Palmetto Health Richland - Richland Springs and Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia, South Carolina. The practice is all adult inpatients. We cover 75 beds between the two campuses as well as consultations at Palmetto Baptist. A full-time advanced practice nurse is available to assist with consultations. Call is rotated between members of the group augmented by moonlighters. Masters level assessment staff are available 247 to assess patients in the emergency room. Most of our attendings have academic appointments with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and are closely involved in medical student and resident education, although this is not a requirement of employment. Compensation is very competitive and health, disability, and malpractice insurances are included. Coverage of respective services is equally shared by the group. Columbia, South Carolina is home to the University of South Carolina, is the State Capitol, and provides a low cost of living. It is centrally located in South Carolina, providing equal access to the Smoky Mountains and the Carolina beaches.
