JOB DUTIES:

This position is for a Psychologist II to provide behavioral health support to a group of 8 primary care internists, 7 primary care med-peds physicians and a total of 34 residents and about a dozen medical students. The hiring of this psychologist will formally establish the Behavioral Health Unit at the 16th Street Clinic, which includes the Primary Care Medicine practice in Suite 309 and the Medicine-Pediatrics Comprehensive Care Center in Suite 125. The overall vision for the Behavioral Health Unit is to provide behavioral and mental health support to the primary care physicians, in order to give our patients the holistic and comprehensive care they deserve.





JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Skill and experience in providing psychological clinical services to patients with acute or chronic medical problems and their families. Skill in individual psychotherapy. Skill in family psychotherapy. Skill in group psychotherapy. Skill in clinical and educational writing. Knowledge of state and federal laws and legal requirements. PhD in Clinical Psychology from APA approved program. Ph.D and License-Board of Psychology and 1 yr post doc experience. Preferred- Skill in developing and presenting psychoeducational materials and in making group presentations. Skill in providing clinical supervision.
