Department description:

It provides therapy, psychiatric assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention as needed.

Job description:

Provides therapeutic counseling for children, adolescents and family members enrolled in treatment at the FRIENDS Clinic. Works under general direction.

Licensure: Current registration to practice as an LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or LCAT in New York State required

Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Creative Arts Therapy after successfully completing a prescribed course of study at an accredited graduate school and certified or licensed by New York State.

Experience: Two years experience working as a clinician with patients in a mental health setting including one year of experience working with children/adolescents and families required.
