li Act as a confidential legal advisor to public entities. /li li Advise public entities regarding the conduct of meetings. /li li Attend regular board or committee meetings (as needed). /li li Prepare and review legal documents including, but not limited to, contracts, agreements, leases, property acquisitions, commodity purchase or service agreements. /li li Monitor current legislation, regulation and case law as applicable to provide direction to client public entities on matters related to the conduct of business. /li li Research and interpret laws, court decisions and other legal authorities in order to render legal opinions to public entity clients. /li li Represent public entities in litigated proceedings, including administrative hearings and court proceedings. /li /ul

li Municipal / public sector law: Experience with the Brown Act and running public meetings; knowledge of public entity organization and governance, including joint powers agencies; understanding of state entity powers and immunities. /li li Public contracts:  Familiarity with contracts for the construction of public works; knowledge pertaining to contracts for purchase and sale of services or commodities. /li li Public finance:  Experience supporting the issuance of municipal or public bonds, or experience working with bond counsel as part of efforts to issue such bonds. /li li Background in labor and employment law, land use and real estate. /li /ul
