This Public Relations Manager is responsible for communicating the company brand, vision, news and events to the public through strategic and tactical activities. The manager will report directly to the Director, Marketing Communications and work proactively to develop and deliver PR and thought leadership campaigns including but not limited to corporate communication plans, press releases, award submissions, advertorials, crisis communications, and media alerts. This is a very hands-on position that requires strong problem-solving abilities, capability to regularly interface with C-suite executives, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of management & team members across geographical locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Determines company message and campaigns; plans, conducts and evaluates research regarding new market trends and market reaction to PR activities in order to recommend strategy adjustments

Sets media outreach strategy; creates strategic public relations plans, pitch letters, product backgrounders, press releases and media alerts

Develops and maintains relationships with media

Serves as spokesperson for the company. Scripts messages for executives and speak on the organization?s behalf

Organize external and internal communication in the event of a corporate crisis or emergency. Develop global crisis communication plan; implement and enforce guidelines with more than 250 employees

Develop yearly PR communications plan working closely with Marketing team to ensure cohesive planning reaches all customer segments and meet company goals and objectives

Develops strategic corporate communication plans that cover internal and external messaging for company news or business announcements

Assist in planning large scale events and meetings

Develop social media strategy including platforms to be used, internal policies and tracking methods

Prepares annual budget, tracks project costs to control expenses

Contracts and serves as liaison with outside vendors including agencies

Analyzes, interprets and complies with government rules and regulations

Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS in Public Relations, Marketing, English or Communications
Minimum 7 years in public relations on the corporate side with a B2B focused organization or minimum 10 years in public relations on the agency side
5-7 years experience in media planning
2 years experience in international business
2 years experience in various Social Media platforms
Excellent project management and time management skills
Experience managing a budget and external agencies or vendors
