span Purchasing Analyst Job in Olathe, KS – Contract br   br Do you have strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, and excellent communication skills? Do you have experience in supply chain management and buying? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a an experienced Purchasing Analyst that will be responsible for selecting suppliers, negotiating prices and payment terms, and making purchase commitments for the assigned services and/or materials. This is a contract opportunity offering a competitive pay based on experience. br   br As a Purchasing Analyst your main job duties will include: br   br Perform procurement functions within the guidelines of the company’s policies, standard operating procedures and departmental procedures. br Develop and implement commodity strategic plans and objectives focused on supporting the company’s current and long-term goals or needs. br Coordinate the purchase of materials, products and services, to support production activities and/or development teams as assigned. br Plan, purchase and manage material inventory levels. br Generate purchase orders and routing for approval. br Place orders with vendors and suppliers and tracks confirmations and expedites supplier deliveries and conducts follow-ups br Identify alternate sources for materials. br Negotiate prices and supply contracts. br Resolve invoicing issues between supplier and company accounting function. br Manage supplier corrective action activities. br Coordinate WIP activities. br Work within the MRP system to insure the accuracy of costs, lead times, and revisions. br Maintain records as required by the Quality System. br Work with development teams on program transitions from development to production part. br Work individually and in teams for continuous improvement of internal and external processes and/or factors that affect quality, delivery, service, inventory levels and cost/price. br Maintain metrics for production and/or supplier br Develop and manage relationships with assigned suppliers to establish reliable supply source for the company. br Routinely communicate information on supplier shipments, process improvement team activities, commodity-pricing trends and other relevant events and/or issues. br   br You are the ideal candidate for this position if you have: br   br Bachelor’s degree br 5+ years of work experience within a purchasing / supply chain role br 10 years of work experience br Global procurement experience br Great organizational skills br Effective communication and negotiating skills br Highly motivated work ethic br Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes br Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as well as on multiple projects concurrently br MRP system software experience; Experience with Sytline preferred br   br Does this description meet your preferences and match your qualifications?
