Develop and support sourcing roadmaps and plans for internal client?s strategies and objectives. Source select and negotiate with 3rd party suppliers to ensure that performance meets requirements in a cost-effective manner. Follow and use defined sourcing processes, procedures and systems. Primarily support 3rd party technology initiatives (primarily in the areas of mainframe, computer infrastructure, and IT outsourced services). Facilitates development of relationships with vendors/suppliers and maintains relationships for long-term contracts. Influence internal stakeholders on source selection and vendor strategies.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Partner with internal clients/team to understand strategy and implement sourcing efforts aligned to the strategy and company objectives.
? Coordinate sourcing activities across the enterprise.
? Lead the bid process, developing RFx, performing bid analysis and selection recommendation.
? Negotiate procurement contracts (liaise with business partners on additions, deletions, and modifications)
? Ability to perform spend analytics, review trends, data analysis and develop recommendations from the data.
? Primary focus on technology related supplier solutions (Mainframe, midrange, and outsourced IT contracts)
? Performs other related duties as assigned.
? Bachelor?s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
? Certifications or advanced studies: Institute of Supply Management (C.P.M.), MBA, Certified Outsourcing Professional, Accredited Purchasing Practitioner; Preferred.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
? Knowledge of strategic sourcing or vendor management functions and procedures
? Knowledge of project management methods and techniques, strong organizational skills
? Proficient in Oracle, Ariba and Microsoft tools.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various s levels in the organization (e.g. executive, management, individual contributors)
? Excellent problem solving, team and time management skills managing multiple deadlines
? Keen negotiation skills and understanding of the dynamics of the supplier market
? Proficiency in making projections of future expenses based on analysis of cost effectiveness of past expenditures
? Ability to operate and manage workload independently
