Acts as a liaison between individuals in the hotel and supplier representatives in the procurement of goods and services required. Coordinates with and monitors vendors. Assists with the supervision of the Purchasing/Receiving staff. Attends all Food and Beverage and related meetings and maintains close communication with Culinary, Catering, and Corporate Purchasing departments. Works daily with Accounts Payable to ensure Birchstreet is accurate and up-to-date.


Minimum of 1 year purchasing/receiving experience in the hospitality industry preferred, and experience in a luxury high volume hotel is a plus. Minimum 6 months previous leadership experience in a purchasing/receiving position also preferred. Strong knowledge of Food and Beverage inventories and ordering required. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting. Must lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs and push/pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early morning hours, holidays and weekends.
