Job Title: Purchasing Specialist

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Purchasing Specialist in St. Louis, MO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*

Prepares and conducts effective and appropriately prioritized acquisitions of equipment, materials, supplies and services.
*

Analyzes bids and proposals for content and price, negotiates pricing, selects vendors and awards contracts in accordance with the authorized approval levels.
*

Ensures that the delivered goods and services meet the needs and requirements by assisting the requesting location with the development of specifications.
*

Provides technical expertise and guidance to employees and bidding companies the contractual agreements and formal procurement processes.
*

Provides continuous effort to improve procurement operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly with others in order to provide quality customer service.
*

Participating in the strategic assessment of potential subcontracts.
*

Facilitate the procurement lifecycle by engaging, educating, monitoring and ensuring the execution of the procurement processes for both suppliers and site locations by establishing and building a professional rapport, following up consistently and maintaining ongoing contact and communication.
*

Review and monitor subcontractor status and progress.
*

Act as a cooperative and contributing team member to ensure that a high level of service is always offered to all stakeholders, including the client.
*

Ensure that all key service delivery objectives are met by taking an active role in continuous improvement of service delivery processes and in maintaining and improving stakeholder experience.
*

Proactively identify service delivery issues and coordinate timely resolution.
*

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

*

Three to six years work related experience.
*

Must have good MS Office skills.
*

JDE experience is highly desirable.
