QA Analyst

Classification: Database Administration

Compensation: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year

Our Client, a fast growing high tech organization is seeking a QA Analyst to add to the team. The Ideal candidate will have experience with manual and automated testing and light supervisory experience.

The QA Lead will work with an existing QA team along with other functional teams to deliver Flash based e-learning, immersive learning simulations, and serious gaming. The QA team identifies performance and functional issues and tracks them through the revision cycle. They are responsible for promoting a client centric product, in line with the organizations corporate strategy.

The QA Lead not only contributes to the testing effort, but also is in a position to increase the overall effectiveness of the production team. The QA Lead is responsible for identifying opportunities for improvements and sharing them with other leads and management.
The QA Lead must be comfortable interacting with diverse personalities, effectively dealing with conflict, and focusing group creativity on solving the right problems for project and company success.

The ability to help other team members deliver more value, and to raise the organizations overall value offering potential, is an in-demand skill that is well rewarded.

Responsibilities:
Develop test plans and test cases as needed
Test the application/solution against requirements.
Document errors, report errors to appropriate parties, and verify the resolution of the issue
Work efficiently with multi-person project teams to insure fluid communication around deliverable status
Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive solutions that are within sphere of influence

Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience testing applications
Familiarity with quality assurance processes and methodology
Familiarity with quality assurance automated tools
Experience directing a team of 2-5 testers
A bachelors degree in a related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to develop test plans and test scenarios/cases independently and manually
Experience testing multi-media applications
Experience working in a matrix and collaborative environment
