Seeking a dynamic individual who will research, design, develop, and use automated testing tools for the Quality Assurance team. The QA Automation Developer enhances existing and builds new test automation tools, then leverages these proprietary tools along with commercial tools to test applications.

Candidates should understand the value of customer satisfaction and the need to exceed expectations in a QA role. The ideal candidate has experience with multiple SDLC approaches, QA methodologies, test strategies must have prior experience in automating testing for non-web based applications and/or systems where record/playback is not feasible.

-Has a proven record of successfully planning, designing, developing, and using automated testing tools.

-Strong knowledge of automated test methodologies is essential, including automated test script development, automated test tool/utility development, and participation in establishment of an automated testing framework.

-Expertise in Python mandatory, proficiency in other scripting languages desired, e.g. UNIX Shell Scripts, Perl, Ruby, etc.

-Proficiency in Java desired.

-Experience testing in Linux environments with no graphical user interfaces.

-Experience in use of SQL for data verification purposes.

-Experience with environment management/monitoring tools, software deployment tools, and configuration tools desired.

-Experience working in the financial industry (preferably a trading company, exchange or trading industry vendor) is desired.

-Clear understanding of Software Testing Lifecycle.

-Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach.

-Self motivated and ability to work individually or in a group setting.

-Willingness to execute both manual and automated tests as needed in addition to development responsibilities.

-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university desired.
