Responsible for planning, directing, and supervising activities and employees in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to meet requirements associated with the quality assurance of the plant and to achieve continuous improvement in results of Key Performance Indicators. Ensure employees are trained, have appropriate tools, and have expectations provided in an appropriate and timely manner.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Is responsible for the accurate and timely recording of attendance and time keeping of employees (i.e., Kronos); review and approve employee hours and related information; advise employees of correct procedures for requesting time off

* Direct, supervise, and coordinate testing procedures and operations requiring a broad knowledge of statistical process control factors, quality processes, product and material specifications, and production applications that meets quality, quantity, schedule, and cost requirements

* Organize and assign work to utilize available skills, knowledge and experience, labor hours, lab and testing equipment to the best advantages to obtain most favorable inspection costs, consistent application, and production output

* Provide regular training, instruction, and guidance and maintain close surveillance over testing and inspection procedures to ensure the success of technicians involved in the regular inspection of finished parts, products, or raw materials

* Analyze and diagnose parts, processes, and equipment problems to expedite corrective action; develop and implement action to prevent recurrences and interruption of production processes

* Coordinate Quality Assurance inspection activities as they may be related to work in progress; integrate required revisions to testing procedures for products or processes as necessary

* Conduct technical evaluation of all manufactured products

* Drive the MSS program; manage the Sanitation Standards, Procedures, Equipment Inspection, and Sanitary equipment standards on a daily basis

* Develop and implement material standards and the necessary control and inspection procedures to improve product quality and reduce downtime

* Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities within the department, operations, and other areas of the facility as part of the team to ensure plant sustainability

* Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements

* Manage the 5S implementation throughout department by ensuring understanding and establishing sustainability daily
