Brother International Corporation is hiring a Lead QA Inspector, to be located in Bartlett, TN.
The QA Lead Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring that product quality meets quality standards as set forth by Brother International. The QA Lead will be responsible for all department activities in the absence of the Quality Supervisor.
Working Lead and expected to perform inspections on all Brother product groups to ensure product quality meets set standards. Responsible for training other team members including vendor and temporary employees as related to quality. Work with QA\PSS Management to establish visuals and standards to be used for line quality. Assist in the study of failure analysis to determine root cause of process failures. Maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct cycle counts and report on department inventory as needed. Perform 5s audits and report on results. Assist in the review and developing of department procedures and other technical documentation. Ability to adapt to a changing dynamic business environment. IN THE ABSENCE OF SUPERVISOR:
Oversee/Lead the QA Department including scheduling of all work flow activities. Must have the ability to lead, motivate, make sound decisions and resolve conflict as needed. Create system transfers in and out of department and work with warehouse personnel to ensure product is available to meet product inspection deadlines. Monitor and support the BARS, Refurbishing and Special Project lines for quality and resolve any issues. Ensure First Articles are completed, maintained and posted to SharePoint in order to support the Project Area in meeting customer requirements. Maintain New Model Schedule and keep team informed of new product arrival. Manage/adjust QA Department resources as needed to meet work priorities. Serve as contact for external audits. (HSN, ISO 14001 etc.) Resolve Inspector questions on quality related issues. Ensure customer repair inspections are completed and appropriate individuals are notified to ensure turnaround times are met. Review inspection data for accuracy. Report on Quality issues to the Quality Manager including creating Inspection Reports which are distributed throughout the company including BIL. Create, review, and close projects as needed to provide reporting and chargeback information to external customers.
Responsible for all Document and Data Control for the Technical Services Department
- Create, edit, update, proof, obtain approvals and post procedures, work instructions, pack-outs, and other general documents to company intranet.
Leadership Strategic Thinker Decision Making Problem Solving/Analysis Collaboration Communication Proficiency
Previous lead/supervisor experience preferred Associate degree or equivalent experience desired ASQ CQA Certification preferred Strong collaboration and leadership skills required Working knowledge of MS Office required, experience with SAP a plus Familiar with CAPA/SCAR methodology, and Root Cause Analysis tools (5 why s, Fishbone Diagram etc.) Knowledge and use of Material Review Board for non-conforming product
