Job Summary

Indexes all documents to the appropriate patient folder/account and ensures each document is assigned the appropriate name. Assures that all patient records are correctly prepared for the record completion process according to Joint Commission standards, health system rules and regulations, North Carolina State laws and other appropriate licensing agencies.


Qualifications

High School Diploma
Medical Record Experience Required
Ability to operate office equipment such as PC, scanner, copier, printer, and FAX machine
Detail oriented and ability to concentrate on one task for an extended length of time
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and electronically
Ability to work in a stressful and demanding environment


Physical/Behavioral Requirements
Physical requirements include frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, occasional stooping and kneeling. Light physical force is required (exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects). Visual acuity is required to accurately review documentation in patient charts, view computer screens, and read rules and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Accurate manual and finger dexterity is required to complete computer applications. Days: M-F: Rotating Weekends Full Time 1 year of experience required
