MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Engineering. May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience. 7 or more years of software quality assurance/web application testing experience. Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (i.e. waterfall, iterative, agile, etc.). Ability to develop and document test plans and create test cases based on software requirements and functional/technical specifications. Comprehensive understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, processes and testing metrics. Ability to independently test .Net and Java client/server software suites with multiple independent components. Skilled in application testing on the Windows platform, especially Client/Server .Net and Java applications, data synchronization, Global Platform and Biometrics, and/or XML/SOAP applications. Ability to create, edit, update SQL statements. Adept in scripting languages to automate testing tasks. Knowledgeable in automated testing tools. Experience using version control systems (i.e. such as CVS, VSS, or TFS). Experience using issue tracking software (i.e. such as JIRA, BugZilla, or TestTrack Pro). Strong time management skills. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Must be a US Citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Serve as a project application tester for projects to design and implement innovative solutions to complex testing. Support the testing needs of various software applications, databases, web services, data files, hardware components, system integration and sync processing. Ability to test multiple projects during a release time frame. Design test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional requirements as defined in technical specs. Test applications, develop manual/automation scripts for functional and synchronization process validation. Understanding of how to create/update QA test plans and test cases based on requirements and/or functional specifications. Knowledge of the database and network architecture used by the applications and how it may or may not impact the testing efforts for the software releases. Ability to work in a cross-functional environment to obtain requirements, specifications, and pertinent data to accurately test supported applications. Understand application business rules, configuration management and deployment processes, testing infrastructure, and backend components required to support the application. Ensure issues/defects are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner during a testing cycle. Consistently follow standard testing processes and methodologies. Support weekend maintenance or patch releases. Assist management with recruiting of new staff. Assist management with training for current staff members. Monitors projects and ensures client requirements are met. Support the preparation of proposals, business plans, standard process documentation and other documents related to the government contract. May serve as a team lead and be assigned to mentor other team members. Attend required training. Perform backup support outside of the primary position function as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Flexibility related to work hours as project demands arise. Must be able to sit at a computer and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; must be able to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to communicate verbally and to hear. Must have close and classroom vision.
