QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Develop and maintain quality assurance measures, testing standards and processes and manage quality improvement activities; Must understand concepts and technologies related to application development, data management, system function as well as Systems and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Well-versed in software process methodologies and present a solid understanding of quality assurance as part of the development process; Must relate business needs to function of application and presentation of data; Create common business specific quality measurement frameworks and track improvement against these metrics; Work with Application Architects and Business and Systems Analysts to ensure that the acceptable range for test results and performance gets communicated to the appropriate teams; Prioritize testing needs; Design and execute tests to measure functionality and determine where changes are needed with the application or system; Ensure that quality assurance-related activities at both the program and at the project level are appropriately planned and executed; Responsible for regression testing, test plans, and performing builds of applications; Ensure that technology problems are properly documented, and ensure that software defects are addressed; Identify issues and present them to the development teams in addition to recommending fixes.
