JOB DESCRIPTIONPRODUCT QUALITY COORDINATOR (Moorpark, CA)
PAY IS UP TO 70K!!!!
Coordinate closely with Quality management to oversee the day to day incoming quality requirements, inventory quality requirements and coordinate customer issues for all legacy Connex products and Automotive / RF products coordinated through the Moorpark, CA facility.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to work with and take direction from quality management and provide feedback.
Audit for incoming automotive and commercial product based on drawings/specifications.
Packaging verification and improvement coordinator for all products (RF, Automotive, and legacy Connex).
Record data of all inspections and certifications, reporting metrics for the automotive quality team members.
Coordinate 3rd party containment, and product certification efforts as required for any customer complaint or disposition of non-conforming products.
Issue, coordinate & process hold and recall notices for all Manufacturing operations.
Analysis and disposition of customer returned products.
Instruction/Training to other team members in inspection or evaluation of automotive products using workmanship standards and procedures.
Technical, electrical and mechanical assistance for all regional teams including Amphenol East Asia, Mexico, RF, and Moorpark facilities.
Assist management in establishing and maintaining an ISO Management compliant System for the Moorpark facility.
Maintain management metrics for coordinating Quality improvement efforts on a global Amphenol basis.
Coordinate with management a continuous improvement system for the Amphenol Moorpark overall facility operations.
Advise quality management of all issues falling outside our ISO system and procedures.
Act as internal expert for European Union REACH (Restriction, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals), RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous substances ) and all environmental directives as they emerge.
Elaboration of Procedures & detailed inspection instructions either in English or Spanish as required.
Use of analytical tools for problem solving (six sigma, 5 why Corrective Action Process, SPC tools).
Technical support for internal-external customers, interaction with Sales, Program/Product Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing Operations, customers and suppliers.
Any other duties as assigned.
Ability to travel in USA and Mexico.?
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Engineering/Technical Degree with three (3) to five (5) years related experience or seven (7) to ten (10) years of direct related experience.
Fluent ability to read & interpret blue prints, procedures and written directions (including GD&T).
Familiar with use of inspection equipment, Electrical, Mechanical and Dimensional tools and gages.
Fluent English speaking and writing skills (and Spanish preferred)
Experience /certification of six sigma projects preferred
Automotive Quality System internal auditor TS16949/ ISO 9001, PPAP, APQP experience a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft office products.
