Commerce Bank is seeking a motivated and customer focused individual for a Quality Analyst opportunity. The Quality Analyst is responsible for the facilitation and coordination of the daily activities of the Change Management department. Their main focus is to monitor and manage each individual change request for quality, risk, and adherence to Change Managements policies and processes. The analyst must work with the programmer to ensure a smooth transition of the promotion of the code to the production environment. This includes training/mentoring individuals about the change process who require assistance with implementing their change to ensure the quality of the changes.

The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills as they are a frontline communicator, representative and enforcer for the Change Management policy and process. They must confidently interact and work with all levels of management in the execution of their daily duties. At times they may be required to lead Change Managements morning meetings which are represented by all levels of IT management.

Preferred applicants will have:

* 1-2 years experience supporting and configuring vendor software

* 5-7 years experience in software development with both mainframe and distributed environments

* Experience in Change Management using a Change Management tool

* Experience with Problem Management processes, tools, and procedures

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Experience with ASP.net

* Knowledge of Eclipse and Subversion

* Knowledge of scripting languages, REXX, Unix -based shell scripts, VB, DOS, and PERL.

* Knowledge of SQL , DB2 databases

* Knowledge of build tools such as ANT

* Knowledge of JCL verification tools

* Knowledge CICS, Batch, Compile, Assembly, link processes, and DB2 Binds

* Knowledge of Implementation processes such as LLA refresh and CICS new copy

* Knowledge of Subroutine linkage to create executables load modules

* Knowledge of Windows, HP\UNIX, AIX, Websphere

This individual must have 5-7 years of broad-based technical experience in multiple aspects of Information Technology including skills in programming within both the mainframe and distributed environments. The individual must have strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyze changes and determine root causes of known production issues. They must also be adept with the collection, summarization and reporting of technical data. Some time will also be spent maintaining in-house developed Change Management applications written in ASP.net.

Work Hours: M-F 8am to 5pm Occasional evening and weekends for implemintations and change support
