QA Analyst BR BR Skills: SQL (Advanced), .NET Testing, Quality Center, Agile/Scrum Environment BR BR Pay Rate: Negotiable BR BR Summary BR BR The QA Analyst is responsible for performing quality assurance duties throughout the project lifecycle. To be successful in this role, one must be able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment. This role requires good communication skills, both with team members and business contacts. In addition, the successful QA Analyst must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects and take initiative in supporting their team members by identifying additional necessary work items. BR BR Responsibilities BR BR Review project documentation for all assigned projects to ensure that the project requirements are clearly defined BR BR Analyze project requirements and develop Test Plans and documented test cases that ensure that all functionality is performing as intended BR BR Plan and schedule all QA deliverables during project lifecycle BR BR Conduct formal test case review sessions with project team and incorporate feedback BR BR Execute test cases, document actual results, and evaluate compared to expected results BR BR Develop SQL queries to retrieve data for validation purposes BR BR Troubleshoot unintended results and error logs to investigate cause of unintended results BR BR Report defects and escalate issues as needed BR BR Regularly report overall project status, including test case execution statistics, defect status, milestone achievement, and satisfaction of quality metrics BR BR Contribute to the project success in a team environment while simultaneously completing individual tasks and goals BR BR Share knowledge by effectively documenting work BR BR Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the assigned application(s), functional area(s) or project(s) BR BR Mentor less experienced Analysts BR BR Perform early morning or late night validation when new releases are being deployed into production BR BR Work closely with developers to support defect resolution BR BR Communicate effectively with partners via all channels – in-person, phone, email, GoToMeeting, Skype, etc. BR BR BR Qualifications BR BR Bachelors degree in computing related field or equivalent work experience BR BR 3 - 5 years QA experience focusing on software verification and Back End data validation BR BR Minimum 2 years experience testing web based applications BR BR Minimum 2 years experience testing in SQL Server database environment BR BR Minimum 1 year experience with Quality Center BR BR Experience with automated testing tools (such as Selenium) a plus BR BR BR Benefits BR BR As an Agile consultant, you’ll gain many of the advantages and benefits of being a direct hire, while experiencing the flexibility of consulting.
