Their software applications extend the access and application of maps and images for non-GIS users and customers. This position offers the ideal candidate an opportunity to make an immediate impact on the success of the company. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be teamed with Software Engineers and Product Management to develop and execute a comprehensive test strategy to deliver high quality commercial software. This is a permanent/direct hire opportunity. BR BR Responsibilities BR Work from use cases and functional design specifications to deliver detail test planning, test environment preparation, test procedures and test cases. BR Hands on execution of functional, system and regression tests BR Deliver key input to high level test planning and process improvement BR Identify, log, track and re-test software defects BR Deliver regular test status and test summary reports BR Maintain a clear understanding and focus on key factors underlying the project, commercial/market drivers, business imperative, business strategy alignment, and customer needs. BR BR Qualifications BR 3+ years full life cycle QA experience (from concept to deployment and on-going support) BR 3+ years with commercially available defect tracking tools BR 2+ years experience with automated testing tools (Test Complete a plus) BR 2+ years experience with GUI and API level testing BR Strong experience in software defect and issue management workflow. BR Strong risk management skills BR Software/hardware installation, configuration and maintenance for test environments. BR Proven track record of delivering assignments on schedule with accurate reporting & metrics. BR Proven track record developing test plans, test specification and test cases. BR Excellent written and verbal skills BR Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools BR Experience testing or using ESRI ArcGIS or ArcGIS Server a plus BR SDLC experience with Agile or related development process a plus BR Experience with VMware considered a plus BR BR Benefits BR Medical, Dental, Vision. 100% employee coverage. 401K plan.
