JOB DESCRIPTIONSUMMARY: Assists in maintaining good manufacturing practices (GMP), ensures product specifications are met, and assists in maintaining the overall food safety of product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned at management's discretion.
* Maintain accurate records to assure consistency of product quality, compliance to regulatory agency requirements and documentation of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) process.
* Maintain accurate records regarding product/process capabilities, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) situation and HACCP.
* Monitor (GMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Critical Control Points (CCP's).
* Must be able to learn all areas of the Quality Assurance Department
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED is required. A two year or higher college degree is preferred. One or more years experience in meat processing, or closely related industry is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.
