Job Description
Company: Medical Center of Central Georgia
Facility: Medical Center of Central Georgia (200) at Macon
Department: PHYSICIAN BILLING AND SUPPORT SERVICES
Oversees the accuracy and data integrity of prior authorizations, registrations, insurance verification, charge entry, posting of patient and insurance payments, contractual, and other adjustments. Monitors quality performance and productivity standards by reviewing system input and ensuring compliance to divisional standards. Analyzes departmental processes for the purpose of implementing enhanced system functionality. Assists in identifying problems, root causes, designing solutions, modifying the application or process, testing, implementation and documentation of the solution. Responsible for the implementation and training of new processes and departmental standards, procedures and policies. Coordinates education on insurance and billing regulations, all revenue cycle application programs including but not limited to GPMS, Medipac, PowerChart, PowerWorks and Sovera. Performs periodic Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of processes and individuals to verify compliance with policies, procedures and performance standards. Serves as administrator for various websites to assure employees have logons/passwords for access needed to perform daily tasks. Requires independent actions, creativity, initiative, perseverance, outstanding interpersonal communication skills, and training expertise to achieve corporate objectives.
Education:High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in the revenue cycle..
Certification/License/Registration: CPAR preferred
Full-time Day Shift High school diploma or equivalent is required
