Camarillo-based medical device manufacturer seeks an experienced Quality Inspector for a great temp to hire opportunity. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of quality inspection assignments to ensure product and process conformity, and to contribute towards improving quality, increasing efficiency and productivity, and reducing cost.

Hourly rate: $15-$19 depending upon experience ($15-17 for minimal experience / $18-$19 for exceptional candidates)

The initial shift for this position (during the first 2 weeks) will be 8am-4:30p Mon-Fri. Once training is complete, the employee's permanent shift will likely be from 6am-2:30pm Mon-Fri. Saturday OT hours are kept to a minimum.

Responsibilities:
The Quality Inspector is directly responsible for the inspection of raw materials, components, in-process materials, production records, and finished goods to verify conformance to specifications, cGMPs and regulatory requirements pursuant to IS0 standards. Additional responsibilities include entering required data for inspected items, performing sampling, inspection, and documentation, and reviewing activities as required. The Quality Inspector will serve as a resource for problem identification, resolution and continuous improvement. Participation in the internal audit, corrective action and document review process will be required as well.


Education and Experience:
Preferably within a manufacturing environment. The Quality Assurance Manager can determine whether education and training are 'equivalent' based on experience. 1-2 years of broad quality system experience is preferred.

Internal auditing experience is a plus

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined with an ability to read technical drawings. Must be familiar with tools and equipment including calipers, optical comparators, micrometers, and force gauges. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel a plus. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be meticulous with high attention to detail.
