Locla manufacturer looking to hire a Quality Engineer.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required of the position.

Education/Experience:
Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school and five to eight years as an Associate Quality Engineer. MINIMUM 2 years as a Quality or Test Engineer.
Certified Quality Engineer certificate is desirable.
Aptitude to apply mathematical operations such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), to such tasks as frequency distribution, theory and factor analysis. Capable of maintaining complete, correct and accurate paperwork on all parts produced. Must be capable of working with minimal supervision.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of at least two of the following: Project Management software, Spreadsheet software, or Word Processing software.

Job Fucntions:
Monitor and control of the product sorting/hold areas of the facility. Documentation of all quality training provided to company employees and forwarding that paperwork to the appropriate individuals.
Train and direct employees within the sort/rework area.
Monitors status of projects to schedule
Creation of a CAR log and response needed
Accurate and timely completion of all assigned responsibilities
Will calibrate up to 3/4s of company gauges/surface-plates, etc to custoemr specifications
Develops control limits on SPC charts
Documents data obtained for PPAP measurements/calculations coordination
INterprets Engineering drawings
Conducts process analysis and improvement audits
Communications significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides process improvements to management
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management
Takes responsibility for subordinates activities; solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external); fosters quality focus in others
Develops and implements cost saving measures; conserves organizational resources
Provides status reports descirbing progress and concerns related to inspecion activities, nonconforming items, and or other itmes related to the quality of the process, material or product
Responsibilities include training, assigning, and directing work of temporary re-work employees
Complete PPAP, FMEA, etc submissions. Oversee new product launch
