JOB DESCRIPTION- Quality Supervisor is a working leader that oversees the daily operations of the assigned Quality department and ensures the site's Quality Management System (QMS) is established, maintained, and improved upon.- Responsible for compliance of products and processes used by the location(s) in the production of aerospace products. - Responsible for managerial and technical leadership of the assigned Quality staff which includes overseeing professional and/or technical level direct reports in the completion of Quality processes and improvement programs. - Works under minimal supervision.- Quality Engineers and Inspectors reporting to him/her- Plans, directs, and develops direct reports and supports the work efforts of indirect employees including overseeing the training of the Quality group (such as Inspectors, NDT, Quality Engineers, etc.) within their assigned area of responsibility in the application of inspection processes, customer requirements, etc. - Provides leadership in the balancing of compliance practices with other business initiatives to allow all objectives of the business to be satisfied.- Performs the daily duties of assigned work such as Quality Engineer, MRB, MRO designee, etc.- Drives the development of robust processes that affect the quality of the product by planning, coordinating, and executing tactical department projects and corporate initiatives to meet established deadlines and policy deployment objectives.- Provides support for functional leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
ASQ - Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence Certification (CMQ/OE),
and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred.- 4+ years progressive
experience in related quality role. Experience must include 2+ years experience
in operations or quality of a manufacturing facility (aerospace preferred)
and 2+ years experience in utilizing a Quality Management System (QMS)
(AS9100 Quality Management System preferred).- Previous management experience
preferred. 1+ years experience getting work done through others by leading
complex projects and assisting less experienced professional level peers
required.- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint- Advanced manufacturing knowledge including
the techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision
technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.- Advanced proficiency
with detailed drawings including geometric tolerances and blueprint reading.-
Advanced proficiency with 3D computer aided design (CAD) software, Solidworks
preferred.- Advanced knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) including
the principles and procedures for compliance of products and processes
in a production environment.- Working knowledge of statistical process
controls.- General knowledge of Management principles including strategic
planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and developing, and
