JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Improvement Specialist (QIS) is responsible for facilitating clinical improvement initiatives and guiding the development, ongoing review, and implementation of evidence-based improvement initiatives. The QIS will facilitate and support multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical performance improvement goals and objectives. The QIS is also responsible for review and abstraction of clinical data for regulatory data submission and identification and communication of trends and patterns in data that will facilitate improvement. This scope of this role will include responsibility for Project Management related to Meaningful Use.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: New Jersey RN license and BS in Nursing, Masters preferred. Leadership ability; Excellent documentation skills; Excellent communication skills; Computer skills, Demonstrated ability to function as a team player and work independently. Working knowledge of Quality Management, PI, Risk Management, Joint Commission Standards, NJDOH Regulations.Working knowledge ofMenaingful Use, Quality Management, PI, Risk Management, Joint Commission Standards, NJDOH Regulations RN preferred with minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience and experience in quality management/performance improvement.
