Superior Group is working with one of the world's leading producers of critical rotating components of turbine engines for aviation, industrial and military applications. We have an immediate opening for a Quality Inspection Technology Leader in Thomasville GA.

TITLE: Quality Inspection Technology Leader

DEPARTMENT: Engineering

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary duties of this job will be to define, develop, implement and manage company's dimensional and surface inspection methods to achieve the most economically efficient systems. The ideal candidate is a hands on and creative inspection process subject-matter expert.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Identify technical inspection methods to be used.
Troubleshoot issues and support the inspection team.
Procurement and installation of multiple inspection platforms.
Support of inspection for start of the process and continue to support operations.
Ensure inspection process is robust and supported.
Troubleshoot any issues and support the inspection teams.
Ensure quality of product is maintained at all times.
Ensure inspection equipment is qualified.
Analyze & interpret the data on the customer blueprints to determine the best way to proceed with engineering and inspection to reach the desired outcomes. Use your discretion and independent judgment how to receive the optimal results that the customer is looking for in our manufacturing and/or inspection of their parts.
Must be willing to travel 30% of the time.


Extensive knowledge, skills and abilities in inspection methods and technologies.
Ability to apply higher mathematics to meet job requirements, e.g. competent in complex trigonometry.
Capable of looking at other means of inspection.
Effective problem solving skills for job related issues.
Strong analytical problem solving skills.
Standardize inspection methods and processes throughout the business.
Ability to meet company requirements and customer requirements.
Ability to follow company quality system requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and abilities, maintaining professional interaction with coworkers and any other representatives external or otherwise required.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred
10 years of experience with CMM applications
10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with CMMs
