JOB DESCRIPTIONEVATRAN, a global manufacturing leader in plugless EV charging, has retained THE FAHRENHEIT GROUP to secure their Richmond based QUALITY MANAGER. This individual will be the initial point of contact for all things quality and champion quality efforts within the organization. You will review and assess systems, procedures and processes to recommend and implement improvements. You will be charged with assessing current and former quality issues, understanding how the product works, fails and is structured. You will influence the next generation of Plugless design and develop an ongoing quality process that is cost-down and sustainable in growth.
ARE YOU THE ONE WE HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR
You are a motivated operations leader who thinks inside AND outside the box. You know how to build and continually motivate a team of operations associates.
You have a real passion for improving the overall quality of the products you and your team build, and are eager to share your thoughts and ideas with other groups in the company, even when the subject is outside of your direct scope of responsibility.
You are direct and honest in all of your dealings. You build credibility quickly and work your butt off to maintain it. You value trust, and everything that comes with it.
You build effective and innovative processes that allow your team to be successful. And you know how to measure both the processes and the people.
You hit challenging targets.
ABOUT EVATRAN AND PLUGLESS:
Evatran is an established and well-backed startup in Richmond, VA that is poised to grow very quickly.
They believe the world demands real-world, everyday alternatives to fossil fuel transportation. It's a universal demand that echoes across political and economic views. To name a few:
* Energy independence
* Increasing profits through lower transportation costs
* Environmental impact of emissions reductions
* Major health concerns in congested cities across the globe
Electric vehicles (EVs) are a proven alternative to fossil fuel transportation. But adoption has yet to reach the mainstream. Until EV use is just as reliable, practical and convenient as fossil fuel vehicles today, EVs will not become the mainstream solution to fossil fuel transportation.
Today, EV owners across the USA and Canada use Evatran's Plugless L2 wireless EV Charging System. Simple in theory - two coils transfer energy inductively across an air gap. Like an electric toothbrush. But challenging to do well in the real world. In fact, no other company or vehicle manufacturer now says they'll have a wireless system publicly available within 24+ months.
* FIRST in the world to launch field trial of wireless EV charging prototypes (2012) - captured over 100K hours from GOOGLE, HERTZ, CLEMSON, ETC.
* FIRST in the world to receive a third-party safety certification for a wireless EV charging system and pass FCC requirements (2014)
* FIRST in the world to launch production wireless charging systems to individual EV drivers (2014)
Today, Plugless is years ahead solving for the plug. Tomorrow, the tech will charge your EV while you drive. So join them. And help create the everyday fossil fuel vehicle alternative. Charge On.
