span B Nature of Work /B br Area of responsibility is all aspects of Quality and Inspection.  Ensure delivery of quality product to the customer.  Follow our Quality Management System (QMS).  Engage in final and in process inspection.  Must report Quality statics and process corrective actions.  This position reports to the Vice President.   br   br B Duties and Responsibilities: /B br Duties listed below may vary in terms of importance and other duties may be added or eliminated as this position develops and needs of the Company change. br   br B Essential Duties and Responsibilities: /B br   br B Quality /B br • Oversee the Quality/Inspection department for maximum productivity using all current resources and implementing new processes.  Directs, monitors, trains inspection staff.   br • Performs all aspects of Inspection.  Cover for inspectors that are off for the day, and monitor inspection volume daily in order to step in and help as needed.  Responsible for products being inspected in a timely fashion according to customer needs.   Forward accepted parts to shipping and/or red tag rejected parts and forward for rework.  Complete all of the necessary paperwork associated with inspection and forward to shipping.   br • Become proficient in automated testing equipment and software. br • Follow quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives consistent with our Quality Management System and as directed by the VP. br • Understand (and stay current on) IPCA620 quality requirements and work with Production Manager to enforce those practices during production. br • Work with Purchasing to identify and resolve quality issues related to products and products used in assemblies, including vendor correction actions when necessary. br • For 1st article and 1st build jobs - Work with production to create appropriate test fixtures and inspection/work instructions, noting critical parameters and verifying test accuracy. br • Investigate and resolve any rejected parts returned from the customer.  Complete the corrective action, root cause analysis, etc. as deemed necessary.   Forward results to appropriate department/customer/vendor.  Follow up that corrections have been completed.  This includes required changes to test and work instructions. br • Tracks daily quality by entering information from the 8216 traveler into the Quality Report.  Calculate results in PPM and report findings at assembly meetings; provide quality data for each assembler to HR when needed. br • Maintains positive relationships with customers and vendors. br • Inform all departments of quality projects and objectives. br • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. br • Correct/update work instructions as requested from Production Manager. br • Process customer drawing revisions, customer Quality Alerts, BOM changes requested by Sales or the customer. br   br B Other possible duties: /B br • Fabricate and assemble mid to complex electrical assembly orders from drawings, schematics, blueprints or engineering sketches with workmanship standards. br • Perform other duties and/or engage in projects as deemed necessary by VP and/or production. br   br B Required Qualifications: /B br To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eac
