Key Expectations and Responsibilities



* Functions as a key member of the Leadership Team and directs and oversees the development of the quality strategy in an engineered-to-order facility

* Champions the overall deployment of the Quality Management System and integration into facility processes

* Formulates Quality policies, operating procedures and the development of plans for monitoring, controlling and improving overall quality of all manufacturing operations with specific focus on fabrication and assembly processes

* Aligns strategic focus of Quality team with the needs of the organization and identifies quality improvements to realize business success

* Leads the deployment of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies related to quality processes

* Leads the deployment of quality processes to support SPS and continuous improvement

* Responsible for training organization to ensure flexibility in manufacturing

* Partners with customers' Quality Assurance representatives to provide maximum customer satisfaction with the products produced and delivered by the plant

* Provides leadership on quality processes to Engineering and Manufacturing in resolving defective materials and parts and recommends disposition consistent with maintaining product quality and minimizing scrap costs

* Directs facility and organizational response to warranties and customer complaints, including but not limited to, product testing, conformance to specifications and process quality measurement

Minimum Requirements

* BS degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering in addition to progressive experience in managing and developing quality systems

* Demonstrated ability to implement Six Sigma methodologies, continuous improvement and root cause analysis to assess quality processes on the manufacturing floor

* Experience working in an ISO 9000 certified facility along with strong knowledge of the conformance, documentation, implementation and registration process for a facility

* Ability to work with Quality department outside facility to leverage best practices and implement organizational quality strategy and measures.

* Proven performance in developing talent and leveraging strengths of team to exceed facility and organizational demands while building talent for the organization

* Able to effectively communicate at all levels within and outside the organization in written and oral form

* Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired

* Experience in an engineered-to-order business preferred

* Committed to future relocation to progress career
