Business Unit Overview
Valves & Controls manufactures valves, actuators, and controls solutions for some of the most challenging applications throughout the oil and gas, power, mining, chemical and pharmaceutical, food and beverage and building and construction industries. We partner with customers to help keep their operations running safely, minimize downtime and improve business efficiency.
The Quality Manager supports the business objectives of Pentair Valves & Controls US LP by leading, developing quality programs and continuous improvement for products, services, processes, and quality management system. The Quality Manager serves as a Voice of the Customer advocate and works within the local, regional and global leadership teams to drive exceptional business objective performance and Customer loyalty.
Manages and maintains Quality programs to ensure departments and business objectives are being met. Creates and executes plans, Quality Management System, processes and procedures to support quality objectives and financial / operations plans.
Investigates and resolves internal and external customer complaints regarding quality.
Actively assists with all Lean Implementation activities to ensure Quality controls are maintained throughout the transformation activities and that the Lean objectives are met.
Maintain key performance metrics on the results of operating systems and business execution (external warranty, internal PPM, etc.)
Structure and coordinate activities to successfully implement improvements such as project justification and prioritization techniques, communication techniques, project planning and estimation, monitor and measure project activity, project documentation and related procedures
Approach strategy development with a clear understanding of legal and regulatory factors, market forces, industry trends, technology trends and competitive pressures - S.W.O.T. (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats).
Assure integration between strategic quality plans and operations / financial or other plans.
Facilitate and promote problem-solving tools (the seven quality control tools, the seven management and planning tools, root cause analysis, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), RCCM and other like models).
Facilitate and promote measurement assessment and metrics methods (Statistical analysis, Trend analysis, Process capability, Reliability and validity, Qualitative assessment, Analysis and use of survey results, Benchmarking: internal and external)
Coordinates with local, regional and global leaders to provide accurately and timely assessment and feedback of applicable processes (supplier performance, customer satisfaction, etc )
Ensure that the quality function / mission are clearly communicated and a quality plan developed to support the mission.
Understand the various quality models such as, ISO 9000, and other major industry or international standards)
