Pentair Water Quality Systems is a leader in water solutions which improve the quality of life for people around the world. Documents quality levels by performing dimensional, visual and system auditing of incoming and internally produced material to ensure conformance with the company s quality standards. Aids in the effective operation of the gauge calibration system. Works with operations performing root cause analysis, documenting nonconformances and facilitating the disposition of these goods in a timely manner.
Job Requirements & Skills
Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual tests, rejecting and processing unacceptable materials.
Documents inspection results by completing reports and updating FPY and defect findings onto Quality MDI board.
Determine conformance to dimensional features on drawings
Complete First Article Inspection reports for Injection Molding machine start
Conduct Quality audits to ensure conformance to Standard of Work, Standard Operating Procedure, CTQ and Bill of Materials
Review and disposition of returned goods.
Must be detailed oriented with a desire for quality and continuous improvement.
Able to interpret Engineer Drawings per ANSI Y14.5
Able to complete audits using Calipers, weigh scales, micrometers, go/no-go gauges and visual standards.
Basic shop math skills: Unit of measure conversions such as inch to metric, pounds to grams, fractions to decimal, calculate percentages and drawing dimensions.
Proficient in computers. Able to input data into spreadsheets, create, and/or modify Word and Excel documents.
Willing to learn new products and processes and apply skills mastered to train, coach and provide quality awareness to team members.
Able to work independently or as part of a team.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment by applying 5S and using best judgement.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma
3+ years experience in Quality Assurance is required.
Experience with plastic injection molding and/or machine shop is a plus.
Able to communicate effectively in the English language. Spanish is a plus.
