POSITION SUMMARY
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performance of radiographic procedures under the direction of a Cardiologist using imaging modalities at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. Technologists working in Cardiovascular Services are cross-trained to perform a variety of Cardiac or Vascular Procedures. The performance of testing assigned is dependent upon individualized, specialized training and requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Must be registered by the AART.
- Must be certified by the State of Indiana.
- Must pass written examination for Basic EKG Interpretation ACLS Certification recommended.
