Job Description:

We are actively seeking experienced R&D / Electro-Mechanical Technicians for a position with a medical device company located in Plymouth! Currently there are 2 openings on 1st shift. Main responsibilities include: setting-up test fixtures and testing equipment for protocol evaluation of components and sub-systems. Document details of results in written format after the tests are performed. Perform testing, troubleshooting and repair of equipment under development.

-Set-up and support of R&D electromechanical equipment and machines. Includes being experienced with hydraulic components, piping, frame members, sheet metal, various sensors, electrical components and associated wiring.
-Provide R&D test support by conducting tests according to protocols, test plans or studies to determine physical characteristics and performance of the machines or components. Document test results on appropriate data sheets or lab notebook
-Basic understanding of electricity/electronics and fluid power.
-Operation of basic test equipment, multi-meters, data acquisition test equipment, power supplies, pressure sensors, flow meters and temperature measuring equipment.
-Work from verbal instruction, sketches and or detailed drawings including but not limited to hydraulic and electrical schematics.
-Operation and use of general hand tools as well as power tools for construction
-Must be able to work under the guidance of a variety of engineers and technical personnel.

- Associate degree from vocation school or technical college education in related field (Automation and Robotics, Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, etc.)
- 1+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of electricity/electronics and fluid power.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Understand PLC s and/or LabVIEW test software and hardware.
- Comfortable following written procedures.
-Able to apply basic math concepts and statistical techniques.
- Able to systematically and logically solve technical issues related to electromechanical devices and/or equipment.
