The Ramsey laboratory in the Department of Dermatology at Brigham and Womens Hospital (BWH) in Boston is seeking a post-doctoral fellow for the study of tumor cell identity in non-melanoma skin cancer. The BWH Department of Dermatology includes research faculty whose interests encompass skin immunology, molecular genetics and signaling pathways in cancer, dermal and bone marrow stromal stem cells, vascular homing mechanisms, and mechanisms of epithelial cancer metastasis, offering many opportunities for collaborative studies. The laboratory space is located in Longwood Medical Area, which contains ten major institutions, including research-oriented hospitals, research institutes, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health, providing a rich training environment.
This position will focus on the mechanisms driving keratinocyte tumorigenesis. Candidates are required to hold a Ph.D. in genetics, cancer biology, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience with pre-clinical tumor models, FACS sorting / analysis of epithelial tumors, and tumor transplantation.
