Summary:
The incumbent will work with research technical leaders and business unit partners to translate technical, business and consumer knowledge into technology development opportunities. This position will be located at our Kimberly-Clark Research & Engineering offices in Neenah, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
li Work with research technical leaders and business unit partners to translate technical, business and consumer knowledge into technology development opportunities.
li Define, lead, and complete projects within Corporate Research and Engineering and deliver upon these technology opportunities as related to the Interfacial Sciences program.
li Manage a portfolio of projects that requires extensive collaboration with internal-and external innovation partners on a global level.
li Protect technologies and products through appropriate use of patents, trade secrets, and other intellectual property.
Required Qualifications:
li PhD Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or Material Science Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of post-graduate work experience
li MSc Degree in any of these fields acceptable, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant post-graduate work experience
li Travel up to 20% domestic and international (Asia & US).
li Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
li Relevant research experience in colloidal & interface science.
li Demonstrated experience in developing surface care products.
li Demonstrated experience with regulated products – surface sanitizers & disinfectants.
Other Qualifications:
li Demonstrated ability to work with external vendors and universities to complete joint research programs.
li Ability to work well with cross- functional teams of scientists, engineers, marketers, and safety/regulatory experts.
li Self starter with strong analytical skills and sound understanding of scientific methods.
