RN CVICU-00073-44382 Primary Location: United States-Texas-Fort Worth Job: Nursing - Professional Schedule: Full-time Description Provision of nursing care to the adult CV patients immediately post-operatively based upon the nursing process and for which educational background has provided nursing skills. May assume responsibilities of charge nurse when the need arises. Directly supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, Unit Secretaries, ICU Monitor Technicians and Critical Care Technicians. Essential Functions: 1. Takes into consideration age related factors when: * Delivering direct patient care through the nursing process * Guiding and coordinating patientfamily health teaching. 2. Monitors the activities of ancillary personnel. 3. Participates in committees as necessary. 4. Participates in performance improvement activities. Qualifications 1. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. 2. Current Georgia RN licensure. 3. Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theories and practice. 4. Previous ICU experience or minimum of two years MedSurg experienc. 5. Completes skills checklist within 90 days of employment 6. Obtains ACLS certification within one year of employment. 7. Passing score of 80 on the Critical Care Competency Exam
