The RN/ADN is a professional care giver under the direction of the Director or designee, who utilizes the nursing process, nursing standards and physicians orders, plans, provides and directs care and teaching of patients and families. Performance of acts requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skill based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process including care, counsel, and health teaching of the ill, maintenance of health or prevention of illness of others, and administration of medications. Participates in direct patient care. Responsible for leadership of self and others and functions as the charge nurse when designated. Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights and sounds. Long periods of standing, walking, stooping heavy lifting and bending are required. Risks exposure to disease, infection and physical strain and assault. Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation and antineoplastic agents. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently. Graduate of an accredited ADN/BSN nursing program. Current license in the state of Kentucky. Basic Life Support certification (successful completion within 3 months of employment). Flex Varied Shifts
