Provides and directs the provision of home nursing care, based on agency policies and procedures, through the competent application of the nursing process. Associate s degree and three years of home care experience with progressive responsibility, or a Bachelor s degree in nursing from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing and at least one year of home care experience. Licensed to practice professional nursing in the state. Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to and communicate with the geriatric population, and to a lesser degree the pediatric and adult populations. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Able to assess data reflecting the client s status and interpret the appropriate information needed identify each client s requirements relative to their age-specific needs. Home visits daily. Weekly office meetings. Must have reliable transportation and agency-required liability insurance. Must be able to adapt to client status and needs, as directed. Schedule changes daily due to staffing, client condition, new clients, etc. Must be on-call on a rotating basis, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Newly hired staff often have primary responsibility for Holiday call. Requires full range of body motion including lifting a weight of 50 pounds or more, and requires standing and walking. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
Minimum of one year of nursing experience required, Home Care experience preferred. Full-Time Monday Through Friday With Rotational Call
