JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
The completion of an Associates Degree program from an accredited School of Nursing. A Bachelor s Degree highly desirable.
Min. 1 year Previous Behavioral Health nursing experience preferred.
Current CPR certification.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans and provides professional nursing care:
o Provides an on-going assessment through the patients stay and intervenes appropriately.
o Respects the confidentiality of the patients and nurse-doctor relations.
o Monitors all equipment and supplies used and maintains a safe environment for the patient.
Observes the patients progress or lack of progress in accordance with the established goals and initiates the appropriate actions. Documents observations and nursing interventions.
Communicates with the team regarding the patient/milieu status on an ongoing basis. Addresses any problems/issues related to patient care and safety of the environment with the team and reports findings to or involves supervisor as appropriate.
Utilizing the least restrictive interventions, assumes a leadership role in the management of aggressive or destructive patient behavior according to the policy and procedures up to and including p Part Time Day CPR RN licensure
