SERVICE AREA OVERVIEW

The Cancer Care Program at Northside Hospital offers the best of both worlds: clinical excellence on par with academic-based programs along with the personalized and attentive care typically associated with a community hospital. Northside has been offering cancer care services since 1975 and is one of the largest, most respected oncology care providers in Atlanta. At Northside, more cases of breast cancer and gynecologic cancer are diagnosed and treated than at any other hospital in Atlanta. In addition, every type of adult bone marrow transplant procedure is performed at Northside, making it the only community hospital in Atlanta to do so. Northside Hospital also offers a wide variety of innovative cancer clinical trials, some of which are typically only available in a university hospital setting.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing the patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the appropriate division. The Registered Nurse provides medical care for the adolescent, adult and geriatric patient.

The schedule will initially be 4 ten hour shifts.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
(1) one year + of current critical care, emergency department, triage, physician practice or pain clinic experience, or combination of . Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to designated area within probationary period. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Yes

WORK HOURS: 7a-7p

WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS: Yes
