CENTERPOINT MEDICAL CENTER, located in Independence, Missouri features 221 private rooms, state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and some of the latest clinical services available to patients. Centerpoint Medical Center features the following:

* Orthopedic Services including Total Joints and Sports Medicine
* An accredited Cancer Program and a state-of-the-art Breast Center
* Neuroscience Services for the treatment of brain and spine disorders as well as injuries
* Women s Services, including the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in eastern Jackson County
Under the direction of the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, the Manager for Clinical Excellence utilizes education, clinical, research, and management expertise to lead in the provision of quality, cost-effective patient care. Responsibilities include providing clinical support to improve patient and institutional outcomes.
The Manager for Clinical Excellence strives to assure nursing competency through individual mentoring, educational programs, and performance/quality improvement projects. The Manager for Clinical Excellence facilitates the development of the spirit of inquiry, critical thinking, and skills synthesis and promotes the contribution of nursing to patient and institutional outcomes.
The Manager for Clinical Excellence functions as a liaison with the medical team, the Directors of the various nursing departments of Patient Services and ancillary departments in coordinating patient care. In addition, the manager for Clinical Excellence will provide assistance to new staff and experienced staff as it relates to preparing staff in the delivery of patient care.
Nursing care is provided in accordance with Centerpoint Medical Center policies and procedures, applicable State Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice and the generic and unit-specific structure standards. The Manager for Clinical Excellence supervises the Nursing Education Department.
Education: Masters preferred.
Knowledge/Professional Licensure/Registration/Certifications: Must have a current MO RN license upon hire or a current multistate RN license. If only a multistate RN license is provided upon hire, a MO RN license will be required within 90 days of employment. Critical Care experience preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in specialty is required.
Administrative Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills required. Ability to achieve and maintain BCLS certification required.
